Trump Administration Finds 25,000 Migrant Kids ‘Lost’ By Biden Admin

The Trump administration has tracked down roughly 25,000 unaccounted-for migrant children who were reportedly lost under President Biden’s immigration policies, according to Border Czar Tom Homan.

Speaking on Fox News Thursday, Homan delivered a stunning update: thousands of migrant kids who crossed the southern border alone and were released to so-called “sponsors” under the Biden administration were never properly vetted, never tracked, and effectively abandoned by the U.S. government.

Thousands Rescued — But Many Were Trafficked or Worse

“Some of these kids were fine. They were with their parents hiding out, not wanting to be deported,” Homan admitted. “But many were in sex trafficking, found in forced labor, working ungodly hours, not going to school, not being paid, and being abused.”

He confirmed that 27 children had tragically died, while thousands more were still being traced by law enforcement and federal investigators.

“We’ve rescued thousands of children,” Homan said. “President Trump is committed, I’m committed, that we’re not gonna stop looking for these children until we find every single one of them — or run down every lead.”

A Crisis of Accountability

According to a bombshell inspector general’s report, 320,000 migrant children were released into the U.S. under the Biden administration and then went unaccounted for. These children were handed over to sponsors with minimal to no oversight. Often, the only follow-up was a single phone call 30 days later — many of which went unanswered.

The report also found:

  • 291,000 children received no future court dates as of May 2024

  • 32,000 more failed to show up to immigration court despite scheduled hearings

  • The Biden administration had no tracking system for most of them

Whistleblowers Speak Out: “We Were Complicit In Trafficking”

Multiple federal whistleblowers have come forward, exposing a system that one called “deliberately blind.”

One former HHS official testified before the Senate that children were being routinely placed with strangers, often with fake documents. When she raised red flags, she said she was taken off the job and retaliated against.

“Children were being trafficked with billions of taxpayer dollars by a contractor failing to vet sponsors,” whistleblower Deborah White testified. “Government officials were complicit. This will haunt me for the rest of my life.”

According to White:

  • ORR leadership blocked her attempts to raise concerns

  • Employees were told, “You’re not a fake ID expert”

  • Staff received no training on identifying trafficking or document fraud

  • Efforts to contact foreign consulates resulted in disciplinary actions

“Once these children leave here … they’re gone and they are no longer your responsibility,” she recalled being told.

Trump’s Promise: “We’re Going To Find Them All”

With tens of thousands of children still unaccounted for, the Trump administration has made the recovery effort a top priority.

“This is not just about border security anymore. It’s about rescuing children who were abandoned, exploited, or even killed because of negligence,” Homan said.

And as he put it bluntly on Thursday, “We’re not giving up.”
