However, refusing this guilty plea may lead to his deportation to Uganda, an East African nation described as ‘significantly more dangerous’ by his representation in legal court documents submitted on the recent Saturday. Abrego has decidedly pleaded not guilty, with his representation revealing that they are negotiation discussions with the government in an attempt to avoid a possible deportation to Uganda.

His legal team is also appealing to the court with a request to dismiss the charges, with an argument that he faced ‘discriminatory and biased’ prosecution.
