The U.S. economy added 147,000 jobs in June, blowing past projections for the fourth consecutive month and further validating President Donald Trump’s economic agenda.

The latest jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows broad-based strength across the economy, as the unemployment rate dipped to 4.1%—the lowest since February. Wages continued their upward trajectory, with average hourly earnings rising to $36.30, up 3.7% year-over-year.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt credited the president’s leadership and called on Congress to pass Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” to lock in long-term economic gains.

“For the FOURTH month in a row, jobs numbers have beat market expectations with nearly 150,000 good jobs created in June,” Leavitt said. “American-born workers have accounted for ALL of the job gains since President Trump took office and wages continue to rise. The economy is booming again—and it will only get better when the One, Big, Beautiful Bill is passed and implemented!”

Economists had predicted 110,000 new jobs for June. Instead, the Trump administration notched a higher-than-expected total, exceeding both market forecasts and the revised 144,000 figure from May.

Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, pointed to Trump’s pro-growth agenda as the engine behind the numbers.

“Hats off to President Trump because this three-legged stool of his has really been powerful: the trade, the taxes, and deregulations together,” Ortiz said on Fox News. “It’s all about jobs, jobs, jobs.”

Notably, American-born workers continue to lead the recovery. Since January, native-born employment has surged by more than 2 million, while foreign-born employment has dropped by over 500,000, according to the Council of Economic Advisors. Last year during the Biden administration, foreign-born workers accounted for nearly half of all new job growth.

Meanwhile, the federal government continued to shrink—losing 7,000 jobs in June and down 69,000 total since Trump returned to office.

The Center for Immigration Studies recently reported that most job growth under Biden went to immigrants, both legal and illegal, while just a quarter of the jobs went to native-born Americans. Under Trump, that trend has reversed sharply.

As momentum builds, analysts say the economy shows no sign of slowing down. CNN’s Matt Egan remarked, “This jobs market is like the Energizer Bunny. Every single time we expect it to run out of steam, it just keeps going and going.”

With consumer confidence rising and employment steadily growing, President Trump’s economic strategy appears firmly back in control—centered on American workers, American industry, and America First.
