Trump Endorses Both GOP ‘Champions’ Facing Off In Arizona Primary
In a show of confidence in his party’s rising stars, President Donald Trump has thrown his support behind both leading Republican candidates vying for the Arizona governor’s seat—Karrin Taylor Robson and Congressman Andy Biggs—calling them “two terrific people” and praising their commitment to the America First agenda.
Rather than choosing sides in what’s shaping up to be a competitive and high-profile primary, Trump issued a rare dual endorsement, highlighting the strength of the GOP bench in Arizona and his appreciation for both candidates’ loyalty, leadership, and conservative values.
“Karrin Taylor Robson and Andy Biggs are both champions for the people of Arizona,” Trump said in a statement. “They’ve stood by me, they’ve fought for secure borders, election integrity, and law and order. We’re lucky to have such strong patriots stepping up. No matter who wins, Arizona wins.”
Karrin Taylor Robson, a former member of the Arizona Board of Regents and successful businesswoman, ran a strong campaign in 2022 and has remained an influential voice in Arizona Republican politics. She’s well known for her unwavering support of border security, educational reform, and defending parents’ rights in schools.
Congressman Andy Biggs, representing Arizona’s 5th congressional district, is a longtime ally of President Trump and a founding member of the House Freedom Caucus. He’s built a national reputation as a bold, unapologetic conservative who has challenged the establishment in Washington and championed constitutional principles.
While it’s unusual for a political figure of Trump’s stature to endorse two candidates in the same race, the move underscores a broader message: unity. With Arizona set to be a pivotal battleground in the 2026 elections, Trump’s priority appears to be energizing the conservative base and focusing attention on defeating Democrat Governor Katie Hobbs.
Hobbs, who narrowly won her race in 2022, has faced ongoing criticism for her failure to address Arizona’s worsening border crisis, rising crime, and lack of transparency in election administration. With growing dissatisfaction among voters, Republicans see Arizona as a prime opportunity to reclaim control.
Trump’s dual endorsement has already begun to reshape the dynamics of the race. While some may see it as politically unconventional, it reflects his larger-than-life influence within the GOP and his ability to unite factions under a shared vision. Supporters of both Robson and Biggs now see themselves as part of a larger America First movement, focused not just on winning primaries, but on restoring strong leadership in Arizona.
Whoever emerges victorious in the primary will carry with them the most coveted political endorsement in modern Republican politics. And with Trump signaling confidence in both contenders, the real winner may already be the conservative movement in Arizona.
