President Donald Trump tore into New York Democrats on Wednesday after radical left-wing Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani won the Democratic primary for New York City mayor, labeling him a “100% Communist Lunatic” and blasting the party for embracing extremism.
“It’s finally happened, the Democrats have crossed the line,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Zohran Mamdani, a 100% Communist Lunatic, has just won the Dem Primary, and is on his way to becoming Mayor. We’ve had Radical Lefties before, but this is getting a little ridiculous.”
Trump slammed Mamdani’s appearance, intellect, and political ties, calling out his alliance with the far-left “Squad” — specifically naming Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and her allies, as well as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, whom Trump mockingly referred to as “our Great Palestinian Senator, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer.”
“He looks TERRIBLE, his voice is grating, he’s not very smart, he’s got AOC+3, Dummies ALL, backing him,” Trump added. “Yes, this is a big moment in the History of our Country!”
In a follow-up post, Trump sarcastically encouraged Democrats to go all-in on their radical agenda, suggesting they nominate Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) for president in 2028, with Ocasio-Cortez as vice president and the rest of “AOC+3” filling out the Cabinet.
“Added together with our future Communist Mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani, and our Country is really SCREWED!” Trump wrote.
Mamdani, a self-declared democratic socialist, edged out disgraced former Governor Andrew Cuomo for the nomination. But Cuomo may yet challenge him in the general election under the third-party “Fight and Deliver” banner.
Mamdani’s campaign platform includes taxpayer-funded transgender procedures for both adults and minors, free public transportation, and eliminating the NYPD’s current role in public safety — an agenda Trump and Republicans have vowed to block at the federal level.
