President Donald Trump confirmed Sunday night that U.S. forces delivered a crushing blow to Iran’s nuclear program, saying satellite imagery shows “monumental damage” at key facilities targeted during Operation Midnight Hammer.
“Monumental Damage was done to all Nuclear sites in Iran, as shown by satellite images,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “Obliteration is an accurate term! The biggest damage took place far below ground level. Bullseye!!!”

The strike, launched Saturday night, saw American B-2 bombers drop bunker-busting bombs on Iran’s Fordo and Natanz nuclear facilities, while more than two dozen Tomahawk missiles from a U.S. submarine hammered Isfahan.
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth called the mission an “overwhelming success” and said it dealt a devastating blow to Tehran’s nuclear ambitions. “Iran’s nuclear capabilities were obliterated,” Hegseth said.
Satellite imagery appears to confirm the strike’s effectiveness. At Fordo—one of Iran’s most fortified and deeply buried nuclear sites—six distinct craters are visible where bunker busters penetrated the mountain. Experts say it’s possible Fordo was completely destroyed, even though its centrifuges sit nearly 300 feet underground.
The Natanz facility was also likely destroyed, according to former U.N. nuclear inspector David Albright, who reviewed post-strike imagery. And Iran’s Isfahan site, struck by cruise missiles from the sea, was described by an Israeli official as “annihilated” and rendered inoperable.
Trump praised the military’s execution of the mission, writing: “The hits were hard and accurate. Great skill was shown by our military. Thank you!”
