Trump To Decide On Iran Strike Before July 4

President Donald Trump has confirmed that a final decision on whether the United States will launch a military strike against Iran will be made “within the next two weeks.” The announcement, delivered by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Thursday, comes as tensions in the Middle East intensify and Israeli airstrikes continue targeting Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

Trump, who has firmly backed Israel’s recent precision strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities and key military figures, is keeping the possibility of U.S. involvement on the table. “I may do it, I may not do it,” the president told reporters. “Nobody knows what I’m thinking.” However, he warned that Iran is just “weeks away” from acquiring a nuclear weapon—a line the administration appears unwilling to let them cross.

“I’m not looking to fight, but if it’s a choice between fighting and allowing a nuclear Iran, then you have to act,” Trump stated. “Maybe we won’t have to fight. Maybe it ends very quickly.”

According to Leavitt, while backchannel correspondence with Tehran continues, the White House is under no illusions. “There’s a substantial chance that negotiations may or may not take place,” she said. Trump added, “Iran isn’t winning this war—they should talk, and they should talk immediately, before it’s too late.”

Pressure is mounting following Iran’s brazen strike on an Israeli hospital, which Israel’s Health Minister called an “act of terrorism” and “a crossing of a red line.” Israeli officials have reportedly urged the U.S. to assist in targeting Iran’s heavily fortified Fordow nuclear site—buried nearly 300 feet underground and accessible only by America’s B-2 bombers using bunker-buster munitions.

Military advisors, including Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, are believed to be reviewing strike options. Sources say the window for a U.S. decision aligns with both strategic planning and symbolic timing—landing just ahead of America’s Independence Day.

Bottom line:
President Trump is making it clear: Iran has a final chance to come to the table. If not, a decisive strike—potentially targeting Iran’s most protected nuclear assets—may be just days away.
