Trump Torches Pelosi Over Stock Trading Scandal, Calls Her a ‘Disgusting Degenerate’
President Donald Trump unleashed a scathing attack on former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi late Saturday, accusing her and her husband Paul of enriching themselves through insider trading while pretending to serve the public.
“Crooked Nancy Pelosi, and her very ‘interesting’ husband, beat every Hedge Fund in 2024,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “In other words, these two very average ‘minds’ beat ALL of the Super Geniuses on Wall Street, thousands of them. It’s all INSIDE INFORMATION! Is anybody looking into this??? She is a disgusting degenerate, who Impeached me twice, on NO GROUNDS, and LOST! How are you feeling now, Nancy???”
Pelosi, 85, has long faced questions over her family’s financial windfalls, though she denies any wrongdoing. Her spokesman recently claimed she “does not own any stocks and has no knowledge or subsequent involvement in any transactions.” But Paul Pelosi’s track record raises eyebrows — with his trades in 2024 reportedly netting a stunning 54% return, more than double the S&P 500’s performance.
Among his controversial moves: buying into Tempus AI at $31.83 a share before the company inked a $200 million deal with AstraZeneca, sending shares to nearly $61; selling $2.2 million worth of Microsoft stock just months before the FTC launched an antitrust probe; and consistently making trades that outperform market averages in ways that critics say are suspicious for someone so politically connected.
Pelosi’s estimated net worth sits north of $263 million, placing her among the richest members of Congress — and some believe the true figure is far higher. The scandal has only fueled support for Sen. Josh Hawley’s “PELOSI Act,” which would bar members of Congress from owning or trading individual stocks. Initially wary, Trump now backs the measure after Hawley clarified it wouldn’t apply to him until after his presidency ends in 2029.
Pelosi, who oversaw two failed impeachment attempts against Trump, has yet to say if she will run for reelection in 2026. But Trump’s message was clear: he believes her family’s stock market success is no coincidence, and he wants accountability.
