Trump Unloads on Judge Boasberg, ‘Radical Left Judges’ for Halting Deportations of Violent Illegal Aliens
President Donald Trump is taking aim at what he calls the “radical left-wing judiciary,” slamming U.S. District Judge James Boasberg for blocking the deportation of violent illegal immigrants, including members of the Tren de Aragua, a notorious Venezuelan gang classified as a foreign terrorist organization.
Judge Boasberg recently issued a 14-day restraining order halting the deportation of several Venezuelan nationals. These individuals were slated for removal under Trump’s revived use of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, which the administration has used to target foreign nationals who pose a serious threat to national security. But Boasberg claimed the law didn’t apply without a formal congressional declaration of war.
Trump fired back immediately.
“Judge Boasberg is a Radical Left Lunatic of a Judge,” the President said. “He’s protecting violent criminals instead of the American people. He should be impeached.”
Congressional Allies Join the Fight
Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) is already backing the President’s call, introducing a resolution to begin impeachment proceedings against Judge Boasberg. According to Gill, this is not about policy disagreements—it’s about a judge who is actively obstructing lawful efforts to protect American citizens from foreign gang violence.
“When a federal judge blocks the President from deporting known gang members, it’s time to ask serious questions about whose side that judge is on,” Gill said.
Chief Justice John Roberts Pushes Back
In a rare public statement, Chief Justice John Roberts defended the judiciary and said that judges shouldn’t face impeachment simply because elected officials disagree with their rulings. The Trump administration dismissed that defense as part of the D.C. establishment’s unwillingness to confront judicial activism.
“Judicial independence doesn’t mean immunity from consequences,” one senior Trump official said. “This is about national security.”
Tren de Aragua: Terror on U.S. Soil
The gang at the center of the legal fight, Tren de Aragua, is a ruthless transnational criminal organization involved in human trafficking, drug smuggling, and violent crimes across Latin America and the U.S. Trump has vowed to remove every last member from American soil using every tool available—including rarely used legal authorities like the Alien Enemies Act.
Despite the court order, the Trump administration has vowed to press forward with deportations the moment legal barriers are lifted.
“This is about protecting American families,” Trump said. “No activist judge is going to stop us from doing that.”
The Battle Lines Are Drawn
With this latest ruling, the ongoing war between the Trump administration and the activist bench is escalating. The White House has made it clear: they will continue to prioritize the safety of American citizens over the comfort of foreign criminals—even if it means challenging the judiciary head-on.
The President’s message was blunt and unflinching:
“We’re not backing down. And these judges better get ready.”
