Trump’s Border Czar Tom Homan Says Even He Is ‘Amazed’ At Success Of Illegal Immigration Crackdown
President Donald Trump’s Border Czar, Tom Homan, delivered a thunderous address at the State Freedom Caucus Summit on Friday, declaring that illegal immigration has plummeted by 96% under the Trump administration and praising the Border Patrol for executing one of the fastest and most effective border crackdowns in American history.
“We have the most secure border in the history of this nation,” Homan said in front of dozens of conservative state lawmakers near Dallas. “The men and women of Border Patrol secured that border in seven weeks. … God bless them.”
Record Drops Under Trump Border Policy
Homan, who returned to the administration after four disastrous years under President Joe Biden, said even he was “amazed” by how fast the situation was turned around. “Even I am amazed,” he said. “I woke up every day under Biden pissed off. What was happening at our border was a disgrace.”
The second annual summit was hosted by the State Freedom Caucus Foundation and attended by Republican lawmakers who are part of state-level Freedom Caucus chapters modeled after the U.S. House Freedom Caucus. Homan delivered a nearly hour-long speech to standing ovations.
“Treasonous” Motives Behind Open Borders
Homan didn’t mince words when addressing the motivations behind the previous administration’s lax border enforcement. “They sold this country out for future political power,” he said, referring to Biden and Democrats’ push for mass illegal migration. “In my opinion, that is treasonous.”
He emotionally detailed the real-world impact of those policies — from human smuggling, rape, and murder, to cartels profiting from a porous border. “They claim their policies were humane? That’s bulls***,” Homan said, choking up while describing the lives ruined by Biden’s open-door agenda.
Promises To Annihilate Cartels
Homan promised that President Trump is not only restoring border security but preparing to obliterate the criminal networks that profit off human suffering.
“They’ve killed more Americans than every terrorist organization in the world. They’ve killed more Americans than any war that we’ve ever had,” he said of the Latin American drug cartels. “And mark my word, President Trump will wipe them off the face of the earth.”
Recent Strike Signals New Doctrine
His comments came just days after the U.S. military conducted a lethal strike on a narco-terrorist vessel from Venezuela, killing 11 cartel operatives. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed the strike and said more operations like it are coming. “The United States military will not allow the cartels to dictate the future of the Western Hemisphere,” Rubio said.
Taking On Democrat Obstructionists
Homan also criticized leftist governors and mayors who have resisted Trump’s enforcement actions. “They hate President Trump more than they love their own cities,” he said, pointing the finger at Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson.
