Unexpected Sentiment from UFC’s Dana White on Adin Ross’s MMA Venture

The Head of UFC, Dana White, has recently expressed some unexpected sentiment regarding ‘Kick’ personality Adin Ross’s initial venture into the world of cage fights after witnessing the spectacle personally. Notorious streamer Adin Ross has been dabbling in combat sports via his Brand Risk Promotions boxing events and took his epic journey a step further on the 11th of April by introducing MMA throwdowns in an enclosed cage.

While in Miami for UFC 314’s official weigh-ins, White found himself at Ross’s event, which saw renowned fighters such as Kodiyakredd from The Island Boys getting knocked out. During a stream conversation with White, Ross confessed that assembling an MMA fighting event proved more of a challenge than boxing, prompting him to seek counsel from the UFC chief.

White didn’t mince words; however, he didn’t summarily discount Ross’s endeavors either. The primary piece of advice White had for Ross was to ‘keep out of this business,’ a comment that got Ross, a Kick streamer, chuckling. ‘It’s not as straightforward as it appears,’ White appended, ensuing a comment from Ross about potentially pivoting back to boxing.

However, in spite of the initial cautioning, White didn’t entirely dismiss Ross’s effort. He was notably seen affirming Ross’s work during another segment of the event, particularly in relation to rival promotions. ‘You’ve made a mark, the venue is overflowing, the crowd is lively, you have half a million spectators on the stream, and even Drake has been in touch about it. I think you’re managing quite well,’ he extolled.

Based on White’s words, it appears that Ross is already surpassing many of UFC’s primary adversaries such as the PFL in stirring interest within the combat sports community. ‘Right now, what you’ve got brewing here is significantly more potent than anything our so-called competitors have. If you scrutinize any sporting brand trying to vie with us, you’ve undoubtedly got more traction here than they have,’ White asserted.

The future of Adin’s Brand Risk Promotions, particularly in relation to cage fights will assuredly be intriguing to observe. As for now, it seems the Kick-streamer’s expedition into the realm of combat sports is on promisingly solid ground.
