Charlie Kirk Memorial to Be Held Next Sunday at Massive NFL Stadium

A national memorial service for conservative leader Charlie Kirk will be held next Sunday, September 21, inside State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona — the 63,000-seat home of the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals.

“Join us in celebrating the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Charlie Kirk, an American legend,” his organization Turning Point USA announced on X.

The service is expected to draw tens of thousands of mourners from across the country. Arizona State Senator Jack Hoffman said in a press release: “This service will be a unifying event focused on prayer, mourning, and celebrating the life, legacy, and memory of Charlie Kirk — a national treasure whose life was cut far too short.”

Kirk, just 31, was assassinated Wednesday while answering questions from students at Utah Valley University. The founder of Turning Point USA, Kirk became one of the most influential young conservatives in America, known not only for his politics but for his bold witness of Christian faith.

Vigils have already been held nationwide in Kirk’s honor, underscoring the movement he inspired.

Authorities arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson of Utah for the murder. Governor Spencer Cox confirmed Robinson was “deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology.” Reports also revealed the suspected assassin lived with a trans-identifying partner. Robinson faces charges including aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, and obstruction of justice.

President Donald Trump, who considered Kirk “like a son,” announced this week that Kirk will be posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.

“They said, ‘Charlie Kirk is dead,’” Trump recounted of the moment he learned of Kirk’s assassination. “I didn’t know what they meant. I said, ‘What do you mean, dead?’ ‘Charlie Kirk was shot…’ I just told these people, ‘Get out. Just go.’”

White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said the administration is committed to bringing justice: “The president was clear: the perpetrator of this horrific act will pay for what they did. They will face the full wrath of the American justice system. And any other left-wing whack jobs who engage in targeted political violence like the tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”

Kirk leaves behind a wife, Erika, and two young children. His memorial service is expected to be one of the largest public gatherings of prayer and remembrance in recent memory.
