Ilhan Omar Doubles Down On Nasty Charlie Kirk Comments, Says Legacy Belongs In ‘Dustbin Of History’
Far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) refused to walk back her inflammatory rhetoric about assassinated conservative icon Charlie Kirk, declaring during a CNN interview Friday that Kirk’s legacy “should be in the dustbin of history.”
CNN’s Kaitlin Collins pressed Omar over her decision to share a video that blamed Kirk for his own death — a video that referred to the conservative activist as “Dr. Frankenstein” who was killed by his “monster.”
Rather than backtrack, Omar dug in.
“What I find jarring is that there’s so many people willing to excuse the most reprehensible things that he said,” Omar said. “They agree with that, they are willing to have monuments for him, that they want to create a day to honor him, and that they want to produce resolutions in the House of Congress honoring his life and legacy.”
“I am not going to sit here and be judged for not wanting to honor any legacy this man has left behind,” she added. “That should be in the dustbin of history and we should hopefully move on and forget the hate that he spewed every single day.”
Absolutely VILE.

The comments, delivered just days before a national memorial is set to be held for Kirk in Arizona, drew swift and harsh backlash from conservatives, including lawmakers, faith leaders, and fellow activists.
Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) blasted Omar, writing:
“Ilhan Omar didn’t just make reprehensible comments about Charlie Kirk’s assassination. She shared a disgusting video claiming Charlie had it coming to him. People are losing their jobs for far less.”
Omar also made additional derogatory remarks earlier this week at a speaking event inside a church, telling the audience:
“I do believe those of you interested in rewriting this hateful man’s history are full of s***.”

Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of “The Charlie Kirk Show,” responded on X:
“May you live a life so extraordinary, so courageous, and so true, that your enemies hate you as much as they hated Charlie. Their hatred consumes them and is now apparent to the world.”

Outkick contributor Riley Gaines also weighed in, writing:
“‘I’m not going to sit here and be judged for not wanting to honor any legacy this man has left behind. That should be in the dustbin of history,’ she says.
You’re wrong. You WILL be judged. I pray for your salvation.”
Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) responded with one word: “Deport.”
Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA, was gunned down in Utah last week. His death has been widely mourned across the country, with tributes pouring in from President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and the entire conservative movement.
Erika Kirk, who will now lead TPUSA, vowed that her husband’s death will only strengthen the movement he helped build.
