Joy Behar Predicts Trump Will Be Gone Within a Year: “He’ll Be Impeached or Resign”

During Monday’s episode of The View, longtime co-host Joy Behar confidently predicted that President Donald Trump won’t make it another year in office. According to Behar, Trump is either going to resign or face impeachment before 2026.

The discussion began with co-host Sara Haines joking about Trump’s origins in political satire.

“I love how comedy was what started President Trump’s run,” Haines said, referencing the infamous White House Correspondents Dinner where Barack Obama publicly mocked Trump, prompting what some believe was Trump’s decision to pursue the presidency.

Haines continued, “You read the news these days and it’s like The Onion is writing the headlines. But then you realize—this stuff’s real.” She joked about a report claiming Trump wants to host a UFC fight for his 80th birthday, saying, “That literally sounds like an SNL sketch.”

That’s when Behar jumped in with her own prediction: “How many years is that? Two more. He’ll be gone.”

Haines clarified, “No, I think it’s like next year.”

Behar doubled down: “He’ll be impeached. He’s gonna resign, something.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin added that the last six months under Trump’s administration had been so stressful that she’s turned to comedy for relief. “I’m watching more and more comedies than I ever have,” Hostin said, noting that humor has become a coping mechanism.

The segment comes amid increasing tensions in Washington as Democrats continue to accuse Trump of authoritarian overreach, while the Trump administration presses forward with aggressive policy changes and ongoing investigations into political opponents.

Behar has long been one of Trump’s most vocal critics on The View, often using her airtime to express frustration over his leadership and political survival. This latest prediction marks another moment in her ongoing campaign to convince viewers that Trump’s time is running out—despite a devoted base and a firm grip on his party.

Whether her prediction holds any weight remains to be seen. For now, Trump remains firmly in power, and the headlines that sound like satire keep rolling in.
