Recently inaugurated President Donald Trump has commanded an exploration into potential wrongdoing during the presidential term of his predecessor, Joe Biden, with particular emphasis on the latter’s health. The investigation will be led by White House counsel, in collaboration with Attorney General Pamela Bondi, and will focus on whether certain individuals engaged in a conspiracy to mislead the public about Biden’s deteriorating mental health whilst unlawfully assuming the powers of the President.
This directive of President Trump is clearly laid out in a presidential memorandum signed earlier this week. The memorandum further elaborates on the doubts surrounding Biden’s usage of an autopen for signing crucial documents and pardons, suggesting a cover-up of Biden’s wavering cognitive state by his aides.
The memorandum further suggests a misuse of the autopen device to exercise Presidential authorities, aimed at hiding the plummeting mental state of the ex-President, Biden. However, no concrete evidence has been provided to back these allegations.
The usage of autopen, a mechanical signing device, for Presidents to sign official documents has been common in previous administrations, however, its legality is being called into question under Biden’s management due to accusations of misuse.
