Bongino Prepares to Return, Vows to Expose ‘Grifters and Bums’ Sabotaging the Conservative Movement
Dan Bongino is back — and he’s not pulling punches.
The former FBI Deputy Director and longtime Trump ally announced Monday that he’s gearing up to re-enter the world of conservative commentary after stepping down from his post inside the Trump administration. His mission? To clean house and call out what he calls the “black-pillers, life-losers, grifters, and bums” threatening to derail the conservative movement ahead of the critical 2026 midterms.
“I helped build this movement and I sure as hell am not going to let it get hijacked,” Bongino declared in a fiery post. “We are a movement guided by truth… not political cannibals.”
The timing of Bongino’s return is no coincidence. Just weeks after fiery remarks from Ben Shapiro at AmericaFest calling out right-wing figures like Tucker Carlson and Candace Owens, the conservative movement appears locked in a battle for its soul. Bongino is stepping in with a clear message: it’s time to get back to fundamentals and root out the opportunists.
“I’ve watched quietly from the inside while doing the job I was hired to do,” Bongino said. “But I’m back now, and it’s time to restore balance to the force.”
Bongino’s departure from the FBI was amicable, with high praise from senior officials. FBI Director Kash Patel credited him with “saving lives, protecting innocent kids, and taking deadly drugs off our streets at levels not seen in decades.” Attorney General Pam Bondi and President Trump were also reportedly instrumental in his appointment — and his return to the spotlight comes with their blessing.
But Bongino isn’t returning for applause. He’s returning for war.
He made clear that the so-called “infighting” within the conservative movement isn’t a distraction — it’s necessary. “It’s not ‘infighting’ when you excise a cancer killing the host,” he wrote. “It’s ‘outfighting’ because you’re not part of any movement I’m familiar with.”
He also took a swipe at commentators who spend their time airing grievances instead of organizing for victory. “We’ve got midterms coming up, and there’s no time for bullsht,” Bongino said. “This administration is cooking and REAL change simmers. If you’re spending your entire day btching and whining… then please find the exits.”
Though Bongino didn’t address the Epstein investigation backlash directly — a saga that stirred controversy around his FBI leadership alongside Patel and Bondi — he appears unfazed by critics who tried to sideline him.
His return to podcasting and conservative media is expected to be announced “soon,” after he spends time with family. But one thing is clear: Bongino isn’t coming back to play referee. He’s coming back to draw lines, expose frauds, and rally the base behind what he sees as the real conservative agenda — one rooted in action, truth, and loyalty to President Donald Trump.
“I started in this movement during the Tea Party,” he reminded followers. “And I’m not letting it get hijacked now.”
