Donilon Cracks: Biden Fumbles Verbal Communication Confirmed

Mike Donilon, a long-time associate of Joe Biden who has been part of his inner circle from the early 1980s had damning remarks to share about the then-president’s performance during a June 2024 debate, and threw not so subtle jabs at the Democrats in Congress for their overblown reactions. Donilon, 66 years of age, previously held a significant advisory role during the presidency of Biden.

Donilon, in spite of his association with the ex-president, seemed eager during a closed-door interview with the House Oversight Committee to downplay Biden’s shaky performance from back in the day. He made a bold claim, stating that Biden, contrary to popular consensus, had actually seen an improvement in his communication skills during his presidential term.

Using flowery language, Donilon commented, ‘Every day, I observed a leader who was deeply engrossed and in control of pressing matters, both domestically and internationally.’ These statements directly contradict the widely held belief concerning Biden’s leadership abilities. Donilon’s comments to the Oversight panel’s lawyers during this meeting appeared to paint an unrealistically positive picture of Biden’s tenure.

Despite actual labels given to Biden’s presidency, Donilon’s narrative sought to frame Biden as a leader who ‘grew more robust and wise as a result of being tried by some of the most challenging obstacles any president has faced.’ This seems a desperate attempt to distort the reality, seen by most, about a president, who undoubtedly aged – just like his predecessors – yet did not display significant strength or wisdom in his leadership.

Adding another layer to this spectacle, the GOP-led House Oversight Committee, had previously asked Donilon to testify before them. Notably, he was the eighth former aide of Biden to be asked to do so. In a curious turn of events, the interrogation of Donilon was not undertaken by the panel’s lawmakers, many of whom were away from Washington, DC, but by the Committee’s attorneys.

In an earlier twist, Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) had taken it upon himself to revive his investigation into whether there was a deliberate ‘cover-up’ of Biden’s mental capabilities back in the previous Congress. In a rather amusing move, Comer had recently expanded this investigation to also cover Biden’s controversial reliance on an autopen to sign official documents.

Surprisingly, Donilon’s memory appeared selective when it came to the contentious issue of the autopen. He claimed to not remember any details about it and feigned ignorance about its usage, a response that baffled many considering his close proximity to the president during his term.

Grilled in a private interrogation, Donilon, however, remained dogged that Biden was the best person to guide the country throughout his term. Unsurprisingly, this notion sits at odds with the compelling wave of public scepticism that marked Biden’s presidency.

Although Donilon attempted to keep up the charade, cracks began to appear in the façade. Contrary to his earlier glowing endorsements of Biden, he did, at last, concede to the people’s concerns about Biden’s myriad of verbal missteps and glaring fumbles.

Shedding a faint light on an already evident truth, Donilon confessed that ‘Biden’s presence wasn’t as dominant, and he tended to falter when it came to verbal expression.’ This marked a moment of reluctant admission from a close Biden confidant about the barely-veiled concerns over Biden’s competence.

As per an unverified source, Donilon was confounded and acknowledged that it was hard to override the optics the public built of Biden’s presidency. This candid admission underscores the deep-seated issues with the Biden presidency that could no longer be swept under the rug by his closest associates.

Overall, Donilon’s attempt to paint a rosy picture of Biden’s tenure easily collapses under the towering evidence to the contrary. His reluctant admissions about Biden’s performance and his struggle in dealing with the negative image of the former president only underscore the widely held belief of a shaky presidency.

In summary, Donilon, despite his attempts to display an undeterred stance, struggled to stave off criticisms about Biden’s tenure. His guarded praises appear more as a desperate attempt to salvage an image of Biden’s term that many believe to be marked by weakness, missteps, and confusion.

Consequently, this testimony serves more to validate the widespread concerns about Biden’s leadership abilities. As the chorus of pronounced scepticism continues, Donilon’s revelations about Biden’s presidency seem emblematic of a broader pattern of denial among the ex-president’s most fervent supporters.
