Erika Kirk, Candace Owens Set for Private Meeting After Weeks of Tension Over Charlie Kirk Conspiracies
After weeks of escalating tensions, Erika Kirk and Candace Owens are scheduled to meet privately on Monday to address the firestorm surrounding conspiracy theories tied to the assassination of Charlie Kirk. The meeting, which replaces a previously announced Turning Point USA livestream, comes amid a growing rift between two influential conservative women now locked in a public—and deeply personal—dispute.
On Sunday night, Erika Kirk confirmed that the livestream would be put on hold in favor of a face-to-face conversation. “Candace Owens and I are meeting for a private, in-person discussion,” she wrote. “We’ve agreed to pause all public discussions, livestreams, and tweets until after the meeting. I look forward to a productive conversation.”
Owens reposted Kirk’s announcement, saying she was “very much looking forward to this discussion.”
Owens Pushes, Erika Pushes Back
Owens, who has spent the past three months raising questions on her podcast about the circumstances of Charlie Kirk’s death, has suggested that foreign intelligence agencies—and even Turning Point USA itself—may have played a role. The speculation has ranged from French and Israeli government involvement to claims of an internal cover-up by the conservative organization.
Erika Kirk, who now leads TPUSA, has repeatedly pushed back on what she called “outrageous” and “hurtful” claims that risk harming not only her family but the future of the movement her husband helped build.
“When you go after my family, my Turning Point USA family, my Charlie Kirk Show family… and you’re making hundreds of thousands of dollars every single episode going after people I love—because somehow they’re in on this—no,” Kirk told Fox News in a forceful rebuke last week.
Owens didn’t take kindly to the response, dismissing Erika’s emotional appeal and accusing her of trying to “mom the organization.” She implied Erika was shielding TPUSA’s financial interests and subsidiaries from public scrutiny.
Trial Concerns and Jury Tainting
The backdrop to all of this is a murder trial that has yet to begin. Tyler Robinson, the man accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk, is charged with aggravated murder and could face the death penalty if convicted.
In a recent town hall hosted by CBS News, Erika Kirk warned that Owens’ online commentary and speculative podcast episodes are damaging the integrity of the case. “I am worried these conspiracy theories are going to taint the jury pool,” she said. When pressed by Bari Weiss about what she wanted from Owens, Kirk’s message was blunt: “Stop. That’s it. That’s all I have to say. Stop.”
Owens’ Availability Suddenly Changes
Originally, Owens declined an invitation to appear at the December 15 livestream event, citing scheduling issues. She offered to join virtually, but Blake Neff, producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, said TPUSA would proceed without her. Now, that’s changed. Owens’ calendar cleared just in time for the in-person meeting to go forward as planned.
It remains unclear whether the results of Monday’s private sit-down will ever be made public. For now, both women have gone radio silent, freezing social media commentary until after they meet.
Whether this moment leads to healing or further division inside the conservative movement remains to be seen. But one thing is certain: the internal battles once whispered behind the scenes are now playing out in front of the entire country.
