Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani Hospitalized In Critical Condition

Rudy Giuliani is in critical condition at a Florida hospital, according to a statement released Sunday by his spokesman.

Ted Goodman said Giuliani, 81, is “in critical but stable condition,” meaning his situation is life-threatening but his vital signs are currently holding steady. No specific details were provided about what led to his hospitalization.

“Mayor Giuliani is a fighter who has faced every challenge in his life with unwavering strength,” the statement said, asking the public to keep him in their prayers.

Donald Trump responded shortly after the news broke, issuing a message of support for his longtime ally. Trump praised Giuliani as a “True Warrior” and called him the greatest mayor in New York City history.

Giuliani earned the nickname “America’s Mayor” following his leadership in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, which elevated his national profile.

The former mayor had reportedly recovered from a recent car accident prior to this hospitalization. Further updates on his condition have not yet been released.
