Gavin Newsom and Wife Jennifer Spotted Partying at Noah Kahan Concert in San Francisco
California Gov. Gavin Newsom and his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, took a break from politics Saturday night, joining thousands of music fans for a Noah Kahan concert at Oracle Park in San Francisco.
The Democratic governor and California’s first partner were spotted near the front of the crowd as Kahan performed at the San Francisco Giants’ ballpark. Video circulating from the concert showed the couple singing, dancing and enjoying the performance together.

Newsom appeared dressed casually for the evening, trading the suits and formal attire associated with his political appearances for a more relaxed look. Jennifer was alongside him as the couple joined other concertgoers close to the stage.
Their appearance quickly attracted attention because Newsom has maintained an increasingly busy national political schedule. The California governor remains one of the Democratic Party’s most prominent figures as speculation continues about whether he will seek the presidency in 2028.
Newsom has recently stepped up his criticism of President Trump while simultaneously showing a willingness to praise individual administration policies. Just days before the concert, he publicly praised Trump Accounts, describing the children’s investment program as one of the strongest initiatives undertaken by the president.
The governor has also been dealing with a series of contentious California issues, including new regulations and legislation that have generated criticism from Republicans. Those disputes have increasingly become part of the national political conversation surrounding Newsom’s record in Sacramento.
Saturday night offered a considerably different setting. Instead of appearing at a press conference, campaign event or political confrontation, Newsom and his wife were among the fans watching Kahan perform songs from his catalog.
Kahan has become one of the country’s most successful singer-songwriters, building a large following with folk and Americana-inspired music. His San Francisco performance drew a large crowd to Oracle Park, normally home to Major League Baseball’s Giants.
The sighting also offered a relatively rare public glimpse of Newsom and Jennifer enjoying an evening together away from official duties. The couple married in 2008 and have four children.
Newsom’s presence naturally generated attention from other concertgoers, with footage and photographs of the governor spreading online. But there was no indication that the appearance involved an official political event or campaign activity.
For one evening, the California governor appeared content to leave Sacramento and the increasingly intense national political environment behind. With the 2026 midterms approaching and speculation surrounding 2028 continuing to build, Newsom and his wife instead spent Saturday night in the front rows at Oracle Park enjoying one of the summer’s major concerts.
