Georgia Man Indicted Over Alleged Death Threats Against Kristi Noem And Pam Bondi
A Georgia man has been indicted on multiple federal charges after prosecutors alleged he posted graphic death threats targeting former Trump administration officials Kristi Noem and Pam Bondi on social media.
Federal prosecutors announced Tuesday that Elliott Owen Schroer allegedly published a string of violent threats on X around April 3 that described plans to kidnap, mutilate, or kill the former officials.
According to court filings in the Northern District of Georgia’s Gainesville Division, Schroer “consciously disregarded a substantial risk that his communication would be viewed as threatening violence.”
Among the messages allegedly directed at Noem were horrifying statements including: “I will stab your eyes out with a dull knife,” and “I will blow your esophagus out the back of your neck with a 12-gauge slug.”
Prosecutors also alleged Schroer posted, “We will put your head on a stake,” while warning that the examples included in the indictment were “not limited to” the threats investigators uncovered.
Bondi was also allegedly targeted in separate posts.
“Were going to kill you Pam,” one message allegedly stated, according to prosecutors.
Federal authorities contend the threats were motivated by retaliation against Noem and Bondi over actions they took while serving in office during President Donald Trump’s administration.
Schroer now faces a four-count federal indictment that includes two counts of interstate communication of threats and two counts involving threats against former government officials.
The case is being prosecuted by U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg and Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Keen.
The indictment comes amid growing concerns over escalating political threats and violence directed at public officials across the country, particularly following multiple recent assassination scares involving President Donald Trump and members of his administration.
Authorities have not yet released additional details about Schroer, including his age, though reports indicated he is a Georgia resident.
