Is Beasley the Missing Link for the Golden State Warriors?

Aside from being reputable for their excellent shooting skills across the years, the Golden State Warriors are poised to further embellish this reputation with their impending addition. Throughout the current off-season, there’s been little noise for the Warriors in San Francisco. Their focal attention seems to revolve around resolving the situation involving Jonathan Kuminga, putting other potential free agents in a state of anticipation about their future with the Warriors. Yet, recent events might potentially induce unexpected shifts in their drafting strategy.

Although speculation about Warriors drafting several free agents was already in the air, a newly available player may be the key to elevating the team’s competitive edge. Is it feasible to speculate a future scenario that includes Malik Beasley in the Golden State Warriors? This prospect emerged on Friday, when Beasley became available following his disassociation from a federal gambling investigation, setting the beginning of his free agency.

In the previous season, with the Detroit Pistons, Beasley had a successful run that should have guaranteed a cushy deal over the summer. However, his non-sport related troubles seem to have discouraged potential contracts, leading to a dehydrated market for the player. Registering an average of 16.3 points per game and showcasing an impressive 41.6% accuracy from beyond the arc in more than nine attempts – Beasley’s stats speak volumes about his credibility as a shooter.

His knack for deep shooting and significant contribution per game could make him an excellent teammate for Stephen Curry. The combination of Beasley and Curry may potentially form a new dynamic duo, reinventing the famed ‘Splash Brothers’ with the advent of the next season.
