Vice President JD Vance is calling for cooler heads and a return to unity amid the recent feud between Elon Musk and President Donald Trump. Speaking on comedian Theo Von’s podcast, Vance made it clear he believes Musk is making a serious error by turning on the president.
“I think Elon made a huge mistake,” Vance said plainly, while also acknowledging Musk’s frustration. “He’s a brilliant entrepreneur, but he’s new to the political world—and sometimes that leads to missteps.”
Vance emphasized that while disagreement is natural, attacking Trump publicly and making unfounded claims crosses a line. Musk recently lashed out on social media, accusing the president of corruption and bizarrely implying a link to the Epstein files—allegations Vance swiftly and firmly rejected.
“That’s absolutely false,” Vance said. “There’s no truth to that at all. It’s nonsense.”
The Vice President suggested that Musk’s lashing out may stem more from ego and political inexperience than from principle. He added that the door remains open for Musk to make amends and focus on shared goals for the country.
“I hope Elon comes back into the fold,” Vance concluded. “We should be united in rebuilding America, not tearing each other down.”
As tensions continue to rise between major conservative figures and corporate power players, Vance’s message was clear: personal feuds should never outweigh the mission to restore strength, prosperity, and common sense in American leadership.
