Karoline Leavitt Says Liberal Indoctrination Is Driving Young Americans Toward Communism

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt says a combination of “laziness” and years of liberal indoctrination in schools and universities is pushing more young Americans toward socialism and communism. The 28-year-old administration official made the remarks while discussing the recent success of far-left candidates in Democratic primaries.

Leavitt argued that many young voters are being sold the promise of “free stuff” by politicians promoting socialist policies and warned that government dependency is replacing the values of hard work and self-reliance that helped build the country. She said some educators have spent years convincing students that hard work and sacrifice do not pay off in America.

The White House press secretary stressed that her comments were not directed at all members of Generation Z, noting that many young Americans are hardworking, entrepreneurial, and deeply patriotic. She said protecting the American Dream for future generations remains one of the administration’s top priorities.

Leavitt also pointed to school choice as a possible solution, arguing that giving parents more control over their children’s education could help counter what she described as far-left influence in classrooms. School choice has been a major priority for conservatives and the Trump administration in recent years.

Her comments come as self-described democratic socialists continue to gain traction in some Democratic primaries, particularly in deep-blue districts in New York City and other urban areas. The rise of those candidates has sparked growing concern among both Republicans and more moderate Democrats about the future direction of the party.

Leavitt echoed recent warnings from President Trump and Vice President JD Vance about what they view as a growing communist movement within American politics. During his America 250 speech at Mount Rushmore, President Trump called communism “the enemy of free people everywhere” and vowed that it would never take hold in the United States.
