Massive ICE Operation Nabs Nearly 650 Illegal Aliens in Texas, Over 80% with Criminal Charges or Convictions

In a major crackdown on illegal immigration, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) carried out a highly successful enforcement operation in Texas, leading to the arrest of 646 illegal aliens—many of whom have extensive criminal records. The large-scale operation, conducted in the Houston area, ran from February 23 to March 2, 2025, and is part of the Trump administration’s renewed efforts to restore law and order by removing dangerous individuals from American communities.

Operation Targets Criminal Aliens and Gang Members

The operation specifically focused on arresting individuals with criminal histories, gang affiliations, and outstanding warrants. Key findings from the enforcement sweep include:

  • 543 individuals had been charged with or convicted of serious crimes, including homicide, aggravated assault, domestic violence, sex offenses, illegal firearms possession, drug trafficking, and property crimes.
  • Seven confirmed gang members were taken into custody, further reducing the threat of gang violence and organized crime in Texas communities.
  • 71 criminal arrest warrants were executed, targeting individuals with known violent criminal backgrounds.

Texas Leads the Charge in Immigration Enforcement

This ICE-led initiative is part of Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s ongoing commitment to protecting the state from the consequences of open-border policies. Under operations like Operation Lone Star, Texas has significantly increased the apprehension of illegal migrants, drug smugglers, and cartel operatives, proving that strong enforcement measures can and do work.

Governor Abbott, along with President Donald Trump, has rejected the failed immigration policies of the previous administration, instead implementing aggressive measures to secure the border and crack down on criminal illegal aliens.

A Clear Message: Law and Order Will Be Restored

With the Biden-era lawlessness now coming to an end, this operation serves as a clear warning to criminal aliens—the days of hiding in sanctuary cities and avoiding justice are over. Under Trump’s leadership, ICE is once again fully empowered to remove those who pose a threat to American communities.

As enforcement efforts continue to ramp up, the administration remains committed to putting Americans first, ensuring that the nation’s immigration laws are upheld, criminals are held accountable, and communities are kept safe from those who enter the country illegally with bad intentions.
