Trump Administration Releases Long-Awaited UFO Files, Videos, And UAP Records
President Donald Trump on Friday unveiled a major release of government files tied to UFOs, extraterrestrial life, and Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), marking what the administration described as an unprecedented transparency effort.
The White House said the disclosure includes “never-before-seen” videos, photographs, transcripts, and source documents gathered from agencies across the federal government through Trump’s Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, known as PURSUE.
“The latest UAP videos, photos, and original source documents from across the entire United States government are all in one place — no clearance required,” the White House said in a statement.
Officials framed the move as a dramatic departure from prior administrations, which they accused of discouraging public discussion surrounding UFOs and extraterrestrial phenomena.
Among the newly released materials are photographs captured during the Apollo 12 mission and Apollo 17 mission moon missions.

One image taken from the lunar surface appears to show three unexplained bright objects in the sky, while newly released transcripts detail astronauts discussing strange “bright particles” and “jagged, angular fragments” floating outside spacecraft windows.
“It looks like the Fourth of July out of Ron’s window,” one operator said during the Apollo 17 exchange released by the administration.
Additional FBI materials included photographs from New Year’s Eve 1999 allegedly showing unidentified aerial objects appearing near U.S. aircraft.

The release follows remarks earlier this year from Barack Obama that reignited public debate about extraterrestrial life. Trump responded at the time by accusing Obama of improperly discussing classified material.
“He gave classified information,” Trump said earlier this year. “He’s not supposed to be doing that.”
Days later, Trump announced plans to declassify government records connected to UFOs and alien life.
“Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life,” Trump wrote at the time.
Multiple top administration officials praised Friday’s disclosure.
Pete Hegseth described the files as material that had “long fueled justified speculation” and said the administration is committed to unprecedented transparency regarding UAPs.
Tulsi Gabbard said the intelligence community is coordinating with the Department of War on what she called an “ongoing joint declassification and release effort.”
Kash Patel added that Americans now have “unfettered access” to declassified UAP records “for the first time in history.”
Meanwhile, Jared Isaacman praised the administration’s “whole-of-government effort” and said NASA would continue pursuing scientific answers regarding unexplained phenomena.
The administration indicated Friday’s disclosure is only the beginning, with additional releases expected in the coming months as agencies continue reviewing classified archives connected to UFO sightings and unexplained aerial encounters.
