Trump Warns Iran It Will Be Hit ‘Very Hard Again’ If Tehran Fails To Rein In Hezbollah

President Trump issued a stark warning to Iran on Sunday, threatening renewed military action if Tehran fails to stop its proxy forces in Lebanon from escalating violence in the region.

“Iran must immediately stop their highly paid PROXIES in Lebanon from causing trouble. If they don’t, we’ll hit Iran very hard again, just like we did last week, only harder!!!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The warning comes as fighting between Hezbollah and Israel has continued in recent days despite a cease-fire that took effect Friday. The renewed hostilities have raised concerns about the stability of the preliminary peace agreement between the United States and Iran.

Last week, Trump had publicly pressured Benjamin Netanyahu to halt Israeli operations in Lebanon as the administration worked to preserve the fragile diplomatic framework with Tehran. However, Sunday’s message placed greater responsibility on Iran to control its regional allies.

The tensions have also affected the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. On Saturday, Iran claimed it had shut down the waterway in response to Israeli strikes against Hezbollah targets.

Despite Tehran’s assertions, U.S. officials have maintained that ships continued to transit the critical oil corridor, which handles a significant portion of the world’s energy shipments.

Trump’s latest warning signals that the administration remains prepared to use military force if it believes Iran is failing to uphold its commitments or allowing proxy groups to destabilize the region.

The president’s comments also underscore the fragile nature of the current cease-fire and the broader effort to prevent the conflict from expanding into a wider regional war involving Iran, Israel and Tehran-backed militant organizations.
