Republicans Push Bill To Put Charlie Kirk On Silver Dollar Coins

Two House Republicans are set to introduce a bill on Friday that would honor Charlie Kirk with his own commemorative silver dollar coin.

Reps. Abe Hamadeh (R-Ariz.) and August Pfluger (R-Texas) said their legislation would direct the Treasury Department to mint 400,000 silver dollars in 2026. One side would carry the phrase “well done, good and faithful servant,” while the other would display Kirk’s face and name. The coins would be legal tender.

“Charles ‘Charlie’ James Kirk was an American treasure,” Hamadeh said. “So, it’s only fitting that we create a treasured commemorative coin in his honor.”

Since 1892, Congress has authorized more than 150 commemorative coins. If this bill becomes law, Kirk would be the youngest American ever memorialized on U.S. currency. Lawmakers noted that minting will come at no cost to taxpayers, and the final design will be approved by President Trump.

“Charlie Kirk was a conservative titan whose transformational impact on millions of Americans deserves permanent recognition alongside our nation’s greatest leaders,” Pfluger said. “This coin will cement his extraordinary legacy alongside presidents and founding fathers who shaped our republic.”

Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was assassinated on Sept. 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University. He was 31.

Tens of thousands attended a memorial service in Glendale, Arizona, where President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Kirk’s widow Erica, and other conservative leaders delivered tributes.

Tyler Robinson, 22, has been charged with aggravated murder in Kirk’s killing, and Utah prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
