Israel Warned US Of New Iranian Plot To Assassinate President Trump

Israeli intelligence officials reportedly warned the United States about a new Iranian plot to assassinate President Donald Trump as tensions between Washington and Tehran continue to escalate.

The alleged plan was shared with American officials through intelligence gathered by Israel, although specific details about how the operation would have been carried out have not been publicly released.

Iran has repeatedly threatened retaliation against Trump for ordering the 2020 military strike that killed Qasem Soleimani, the powerful commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Force.

Trump addressed the threat while attending the NATO summit in Ankara, acknowledging that Iran has placed him on multiple assassination lists.

“They have me on about five different lists,” Trump told reporters, describing those behind the alleged plots as “evil, sick people.”

The warning emerged as the United States and Iran resumed exchanging military strikes following the collapse of a short-lived ceasefire. The Trump administration accused Tehran of violating the agreement by attacking commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

Security concerns also reportedly influenced the president’s return trip from Turkey. Trump arrived aboard the newly converted Air Force One but departed on the older presidential aircraft while the newer plane traveled separately to Britain.

The White House later described the aircraft switch as a deliberate use of “distraction and misdirection” intended to create uncertainty about Trump’s movements and protect the president.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who accompanied Trump to the NATO summit, was also instructed not to continue with a previously planned trip to Israel. Officials did not publicly explain whether that decision was directly connected to the reported Iranian assassination plot.

American authorities have previously uncovered suspected Iranian plots targeting Trump and former members of his administration. The latest warning underscores the serious security threats surrounding the president as the United States continues military operations against Iran.
