President Trump Mourns American Troops Killed In Iranian Attack, Vows Mission Will Continue

President Donald Trump paid tribute to the two American service members killed during Iran‘s missile and drone attack on a U.S. base in Jordan, calling their deaths a heartbreaking sacrifice made in defense of the nation and its allies. The attack also left another service member missing and marked one of the deadliest days for U.S. forces since fighting with Iran escalated.

Speaking to reporters, President Trump said the loss of the troops was “a shame” and expressed condolences to their families, friends, and fellow service members.
