Trump Teases Imminent UFO File Release, Says ‘Very Interesting’ Discoveries Found
President Donald Trump said new government disclosures on UFOs and unexplained aerial phenomena are coming soon, telling a crowd in Phoenix that officials have already uncovered “many very interesting documents.”
Speaking at a Turning Point USA event, Trump referenced his directive to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to begin releasing files related to Unidentified Aerial Phenomena and extraterrestrial-related investigations. He suggested the process is actively underway and that the first wave of material could be made public in the near future.
.@POTUS: I recently directed @SecWar to begin releasing government files relating to UFOs and unexplained aerial phenomena. I am pleased to report this process is well underway. We’ve found many very interesting documents — and the first releases will begin very, very soon. ? pic.twitter.com/kmRTUOefWX

The president acknowledged the enthusiasm around the topic, joking with the audience about their interest before confirming that discoveries made during the review have drawn attention inside the administration.
The push for transparency stems from an executive order issued earlier this year directing federal agencies to identify and release records tied to UFOs, UAPs, and any related evidence involving advanced or unexplained technology.
Lawmakers have also been pressing for disclosure. Anna Paulina Luna previously called for the release of dozens of videos believed to be in government possession, though those materials have yet to be made public.
Momentum around the issue has been building since a series of congressional hearings beginning in 2023, where witnesses described encounters with unidentified craft and raised questions about potential non-human technology.
The federal government has also taken steps suggesting preparation for public access to information, including registering domains like alien.gov and aliens.gov.
While it remains unclear what the upcoming releases will contain, Trump indicated the administration is moving forward with a broader effort toward disclosure, adding to growing public interest in what the government knows about unexplained aerial phenomena.
