President Donald Trump issued a blunt warning to Iran on Wednesday after the regime launched a surprise missile attack targeting U.S. forces in Jordan, vowing that the United States would respond with overwhelming force if Tehran continued its aggression.
“We’ll be hitting them hard,” President Trump told Fox News. “They’re going to get a beating.” He later added that the United States would “beat the f—ing s— out of” Iran, making clear that the administration intends to respond decisively following the attempted attack.
The president’s comments came after U.S. Central Command reported that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps directed more than 30 drone attacks against American forces over the previous three days. According to military officials, every attack was successfully intercepted or defeated, and no U.S. casualties were reported.
Tuesday, U.S. and Saudi forces launched joint strikes against Iran-backed terrorist targets in Iraq following the attempted ambush. The operation marked another escalation in the ongoing conflict, with the administration signaling that additional military action remains on the table if Iran continues attacking American personnel.
